Ohio Water Ski Association - Tour Stop #2

The Top Cat Challenge is back for 2009 as Stop #2 on the Buckeye Buoy Tour! Just like the last two years, all slalom skiers will be guaranteed two rounds with a chance to qualify for the Top 15! Once again, the Top 15 will be run under the lights of Lottawatta just after dusk. The Top Cat Challenge will be held on Saturday July 11th and will be followed up by 2 rounds of both trick and jump on Sunday the 12th.

SCORING

Handicapped Scoring Rules will apply
Once seeded, all skiers will be divided evenly into 3 groups. Skiers in each group will be skiing against that peticular group for one of the TOP 5 spots in that group.
The 5 people in each group with the highest cumulative TOP CAT score advance to the Final 15.
Any ties for 1st place thru 3rd place will be settle with a run-off starting at the skiers last full pass.
The Finalists will hold the top 15 places, followed in order by the highest cumulative scores in the first two rounds.
Trick & Jump will be scored seperately for Tour purposes, however overall scores will be compiled for AWSA.

EVENT ORDER & RUNNING ORDERS

Slalom will take place on Saturday
Jump & Trick will take place on Sunday
Start Times: 8:00 am SHARP (skiers will be scratched if not on starting dock)
Tour Stop Awards will be distributed on Saturday after Slalom
Running Orders will be based on seeding. Lowest seeded skiers will be first off the dock.
Finals will take place at approximately 9:30 pm

OTHER EVENT DETAILS

Camping is available on site Friday and/or Saturday night.
Social Event on Saturday night. Bring your own refreshments.

Concession stand will be available for food.
50 Slalom Skiers Max (1st 50 registered and PAID entries)
60 Pulls Max on Sunday (1st PAID entries)

** 20% discount for officials (Assistant, Regular, Senior, Safety, OWSA Rated Announcers)

** 30% discount for Juniors

** 50% discount for Promo Boats

** 100% discount for Chief Officials & Appointed Judges
