Ohio Needs Officials Print E-mail

3-event tournaments in Ohio are increasingly becoming more difficult to hold due to the lack of officials around the state!  One tournament has already been postponed and others are looking to cancel their jump and/or trick events.  Three "regular" officials are required for each event in order to hold a tournament.  Ohio currently has:

8 regular (or higher) Jump judges and 35 jumpers who are 16 years or older*
12 regular (or higher) Trick judges and 45 trickers who are 16 years or older*
20 regular (or higher) Slalom judges and 98 slalom skiers who are 16 years or older*

If you or your child are a 3-event skier, it's time to STEP UP and become an official.  Jumpers and Trickers are going to need to become officials in their events if they want to see these events in future tournaments.  The judges/scorers clinic scheduled for the first weekend in April is a great way to start!  Email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  to register for the clinic.  All information for the clinic and a full list of registered skiers can be found at the bottom of the home page.

Get additional information on becoming an official in the "Officials" section of the website.

*Numbers are based on people who have skied a tournament in the past 12 months.
