USA Water Ski is proud to announce that online event registration will be launched in March 2008. Any local organizing club (LOC) that sanctions a tournament online will have the option to utilize online registration for a minimal $15 fee. Setup for online registration is done as part of the online sanction application.

The system, which was used successfully for the 2007 GOODE Water Ski National Championships, presented by Speedo, is designed to make event registration a breeze, allowing the LOC to focus on organizing a successful event and limit the hassle of handling membership applications, money and event waivers. Membership status, entry fees, entry forms and event waivers are handled electronically. Be sure your club doesn’t miss out on the opportunity to streamline its event registration in 2008!

Here are a few of the benefits of using the online event registration system.

• Automatically verifies the skier's membership.

• Credit card payments are directed to the LOC's PayPal account.

• Eliminates errors with membership numbers, which can cause a skier’s scores to be withheld from the ranking list and ensures that the skier is scored in the proper division.

• Allows headquarters to collect and store electronically each "tournament specific" waiver.

• Stores skier bios, which can be viewed online or printed by the LOC. Skiers are prompted to update bios that are out of date.

• Registrars can download a new Excel Registration Template file that is WSTIMS (AWSA scoring program) compatible, which for 2008 will include the current registered competitors. In addition to event and division information, other valuable data such as seeding values and qualifications, ramp height, boat speed and skier weight can be provided when applicable.

• Once registered, members can instantly view their entry status online, including (where applicable) qualifications, membership, seeding, etc.

• LOC can view entry and payment status in a variety of formats.

• LOC can input entries and track fees received for all competitors, including those who use mail-in entry forms.
