OWSA Junior Development - Canton, OH

For 2010, the Ohio Water Ski Association will be holding four beginner/ intermediate junior development water ski clinics.  The second clinic will be held in the Akron area at “Bootsarosa” near Canal Ffulton, Ohio.  Click here for Google Maps. 

This clinic will be held on June 24th.  This clinic will be designed for fifteen skiers.  If you are interested, be sure to register early.

The Bootsarosa Water Ski Club will be hosting this Ohio Water Ski Association event.  Brian Mollet and Mike Bruni will be the main instructors for this event.  Brian and Mike have been top competitive water skiers for decades.  Mike holds both Midwest Regional and Ohio State slalom records and has held too many titles to list.  This is a great opportunity for an intermediate level skier to get exceptional coaching from one of the best slalom skiers to come from Ohio.

Along with an OWSA membership, participants will need to have one of the following USA Waterski memberships to participate: 

Under 25 Active – Allows participation for twelve months at any USA Waterski sanctioned event at a charge of $40 for individuals less than 25 years of age.  This membership also comes with a one-year subscription to “The Water Skier” magazine (7 issues).  Click here for more information and to purchase.

Grass Roots Active – Allows participation for twelve months at any Grass Roots Sanctioned event, club practice/exhibitions and Basic Skills Clinics at a charge of $35.  This membership also receives three issues of “The Water Skier” magazine.  This membership does not allow you to jump over a ramp.  Click here for more information and to purchase.

Single Event – Allows participation at one event at a charge of $7.00. This membership can be purchased on the day of the event.

We would encourage everyone look at the Grass Roots membership if you are not interested in the Active Membership.  This membership will allow you to participate at any or all of the junior development clinics.  Additionally, this Grass Roots membership will allow you to participate in the newly created program “Open Lake Nights”.  Lakes across Ohio will be open for those who register to participate on select evenings during the year.  A Grass Roots membership will allow you to participate in any of these events. Click “Open Lake Nights” for more information.  The Grass Roots Membership will also allow you to participate in any of the Buckeye Bouy Tour Events and the State Championship.  Our new Novice Rule and a handicapped-scoring system will allow participants at any level to be equally competitive at the Buckeye Bouy Tour Events.
