Cincinnati takes 5th at Nationals Print E-mail

c-paw.gifThe University of Cincinnati Waterski Team, despite skiing without their top women's 3-event skier, managed to hang in for a 5th place finish at D-II Collegiate Nationals this past week.  Some highlights from the event include Kacy Clifton taking 2nd place in women's trick with a score of 890 points, Chris Van Treese taking 2nd place in men's trick with a score of 1,960 points and also taking 4th overall after setting personal bests in both jump and slalom with 104 feet and 3 @ 28 off 36 mph, Jacklyn Woniger set a new UC women's slalom record running 5.25 buoys @ 32 mph and taking 9th place. 

The Wisconsin Badgers took home the D-II title keeping it in the Midwest for the second year in a row.  The University of Louisiana Monroe defended their title in D-I.  D-II Results:
