Head-to-Head Trick & Jump Print E-mail

Brad RuffNot only did the Extreme Head-to-Head cap off the slalom event of the Buckeye Buoy Tour, it also hosted the final trick and jump stops in the tour.  Trickers took to the water first at 8:00.  Calli Newman of the University of Cincinnati proved to be the most consistent for both rounds tricking a cumulative 157% of her average.  Nick Perrino followed in second place scoring 125% of his average with Matt Wolff coming in third with 124%.  Sarah Rosenblum posted the high score of the day with 1,550 points.

The jump event was exciting also with a lot of new jumpers along with the best up and Calli Newmancoming jumper in the state.  James Russo proved he continues to climb the jump ladder winning his second jump event in the 2009 Buckeye Buoy Tour.  With an average of 56', James jumped 62 feet in round one and a personal best 71 feet in round two.  Nick Perrino rounded out a great weekend of 3-event skiing with an 81' jump and a second place finish.  Richard Boehm rounded out the Top 3 jumping a cumulative 102.5% of his average.  Ben Van Treese posted the high score of the day jumping 137 feet.  Ben set a new personal best in jump on Saturday at Cruises Creek with a leap of 148 feet!
