Buckeye Buoy Tour Standings Print E-mail

Things are heating up after the 3rd Buckeye Buoy Tour Stop and the most consistent skiers seem to be creeping to the top of the standings in each event...

Slalom

1st - Sarah Rosenblum - 1,130 pts
2nd - Greg Lanich - 1,000 pts Greg Kuenning
2nd - Greg Kuenning - 1,000 pts
4th - Kevin Dammeyer - 980 pts
5th - Kristen Dammeyer - 750 pts
5th - Kyle Dammeyer - 750 pts

Sarah Rosenblum has now had two 2nd place finishes and a 6th place finish.  Greg Lanich, with two 1st place finishes under his belt could catch Rosenblum with another Top 8 finish.  Greg Kuenning and Kevin Dammeyer hang close behind making the finals in all 3 tour stops this season however they'll need some top finishes in the last two stops if they're going to catch Rosenblum.  Remember, each skiers TOP 3 scores out of 5 stops are added together for the overall Tour Standings.  These top 5 can only increase their scores by a little bit at this point, however those who have only skied in one or two stops can easily get into contention with strong finishes at the last two stops.  1st place at each tour stop is worth 400 points, 2nd place is 390 points, 3rd place is 380 points, etc.

Trick

1st - Sarah Rosenblum - 950 pts
2nd - Andrew French - 890 pts
3rd - Greg Kuenning - 870 pts
4th - Jonathan French - 840 pts
5th - Nicholas Perrino - 760 pts

Sarah Rosenblum edges herself into the top of the list in trick also with a strong performance at the State Championship however this event isn't locked up.  With just one trick event left in the Tour, the top spot could easily be grabbed by any skier in the Top 10.

Jump

1st - Andrew Baker - 750 pts
2nd - Greg Kuenning - 690 pts
3rd - Greg Lanich - 680 pts
4th - Andrew French - 670 pts
5th - Jonathan French - 590 pts
5th - Zack Schneider - 590 pts

Andrew Baker is looking good in jump as he continues to improve each tournament.  Greg Kuenning lands himself in second after setting PB's at the last two events and is the only skier currently holding a Top 3 spot in all 3 events!  Greg Lanich is coming on strong after barely missing the win in jump at the Top Cat and then taking 2nd place at the Round Robin.  Look for this event to be highly competitive at the Extreme Head-to-Head, the last tour stop with jump this season.  Remember, in jump, each skiers TOP 2 scores out of 3 stops will be added together to determine the tour champion.
