Greg Lanich took home another Buckeye Buoy Tour victory last Friday at the State Round Robin. Skiers were grouped into 4's for 2 seperate rounds where they competed against each other to see who could score the most points in their group for each round. Noteable performances from the first two rounds included Kyle Dammeyer of Shortline Shores knocking down 35 off for the first time in his career and running 2 buoys @ 38 off 36 mph for It was a blustery finals, but the bar was really set high halfway through the finals when Jim McClure ran his average of 2.5 @ 35 off to score 100%. His daughter, Kayla McClure, went off the dock next and quickly skied 1/2 buoy over her average to take over the lead from her father. Madison Schneider followed Kayla off the dock and put up her average score of 3 buoys @ 28 off, just shy of taking the lead from Kayla and matching Jim McClure's score of 100%. Next off the dock was 2009 Top Cat Challenge Champion Greg Lanich. Greg would need to run beyond his average of 2 @ 22 off in order to give himself a shot at two tour victories in a row and that's exactly what he did. Lanich ran 4 buoys @ 22 off giving him a score of 102.7% which no other skier was able to match! The top 20 finalists finished in the following order:
