On Saturday, the Extreme Hootenanny Team Challenge overcame the dreary forecast and finished with beautiful conditions for the last two rounds of slalom. It was a fun day and there was a broad range of skiers with 22 trick pulls and 17 jump pulls. The tournament got started with a round of slalom which was capped off by a full pass at 38 off 36 mph by Nate Smith of McCordsville, IN. The wind started picking up for trick and was blowing about 25 mph during jump! Then the typhoon hit. After 30 minutes of 50 mph winds and sideways rain, the clouds opened up and the water turned to glass for the final two rounds of slalom.
