The 2010 AWSA Rule Book is now available. It's amazing how many rules we have in our sport, but if you're a tournament skier then you should give it a read. I guarantee you'll learn something that you didn't know and it could mean the difference for you at one of your upcoming events. The rulebook is always available online in the "Officials" section of skiowsa.com.
The "Open Lake Night" program is really coming along nicely! Almost 20 events have been sanctioned with another 10+ events to follow in the next few weeks. Up to this point, Greg Kuenning has organized the scheduling and sanctioning of all these events in conjunction with the local clubs, but as the events draw near, we need a little bit of help to keep them organized and running smoothly throughout the summer. Thankfully, Denise Dammeyer has already agreed to work with the local clubs on registration and entry fees, so that responsibility is covered.
We need one more person who would be willing to help organize the goodie bags to be handed out at these Open Lake events (and probably Junior Development and Buckeye Buoy Tour Stops also). USA Water Ski will supply the bags with some material inside, our sponsors will supply material to put inside, and then it's just a matter of putting them all together and sending them to the event hosts. The whole process could probably be completed by June 15th. The goodie bags probably won't be realistic without someone's help. Please email
